Chief Veterinary Officer (CVO) Wokha under the aegis of National Livestock Mission (NLM) 2014-15 conducted training on livestock and poultry rearing on September 29 at Fishery Training hall Wokha Town for Wokha, Wozhuro and Chukitong block.
The training program was conducted to create awareness on livestock and poultry farming which would be incorporated and implemented under the NLM.
At the programme, CVO Dr. Benmeren CVO while delivering keynote address encouraged the farmers to imbibe the technical knowledge of farming and apply it for more productivity.
During technical session Dr. Mhonchan spoke on diversification on poultry, breed selection and management of sows, Dr. Apilo spoke on Zoonotic diseases while Dr. Mhonlumi presented on backyard poultry rearing and diseases of poultry.
The programme was chaired by junior farmer manager Bonshamo and vote of thanks was pronounced by supervisort Mhonchumo. About 60 farmers attended the training.
