
Vet care on wheels, students’ canteen and small animal anaesthetic work station at the College of Veterinary Sciences & AH (CVS&AH), Jalukie was inaugurated by Dr. S. Ayyappan, chancellor of Central Agricultural University and former secretary, Agricultural Research and Education and director general Indian Council for Agricultural Research, India on December 16.
A press release from College of Veterinary Sciences & AH, Jalukie stated that, Dr. Capt. G. Dhanan Jaya Rao, dean of the college informed the chancellor that vet care on wheels will be the first of its kind to provide veterinary care at the door steps of the livestock farmers in Northeast which has also a minor surgical theatre and will benefit the students in providing exposure to rural veterinary practice.
Small animal anaesthetic work station is a state of the art anaesthetic machine which is also first of its kind in Nagaland. Dean requested that the facilities at the college must be put to maximum use by the farmers to improve their economy through livestock.
