CWS to launch 2nd phase stir

Chang Wedoshi Setshang (Chang Students’ Conference) on Tuesday announced its decision to launch phase-II agitation starting October 18, 2023 by shutting down government departmental offices within Tuensang district.


In a communiqué to DC Tuensang, CWS president C Pongsu and general secretary Sanglekhamba said the department has failed to give any assurance or fulfil its charter of demands. Therefore, the conference said it has decided to launch phase-II agitation from October 18, 2023 till the demands were fulfilled.


CWS has, however, exempted the following departments from the purview of the agitation: all the schools & higher secondary schools; district administration Tuensang, police department; medical department and fire & emergency department.
