Cyclist on mission to advocate use of eco-friendly cycle

World peace and anti-pollution advocate Madhai Paul, currently on a bicycle tour across the country, arrived Kohima on January 23.
In an interview with Nagaland Post, the 30-year-old Paul from West Bengal said that this was his second phase of the ongoing tour, which commenced in November 2023 in Balurghat, West Bengal.

He said his mission was to advocate the use of eco-friendly cycle to reduce pollution and encourage single use plastic. He said there were lots of health benefits from riding a cycle and encouraged people to use cycle for accessible distances. Paul hoped to spread positive message throughout the world with his action.


In terms of raising awareness about peace and pollution issues, Paul explained that he engaged with students, educators, and members of various organizations by visiting schools, colleges, and other educational institutions during his journey. He will be travelling to Imphal on January 25.


His dream was to travel all over the world by cycle and spread the message of saving the environment by reducing pollution.
Paul further also mentioned that he will be documenting his journey on his YouTube channel and other social media platforms using the name “Cycle Pagal.”
