CYO fetes Neithovilie on AFC goalkeeping certification

DIMAPUR, JUL 4 (NPN)

The Chakhroma Youth Organisation (CYO) has congratulated Neithovilie Chalieu for successfully completing the AFC goalkeeping level 1 coaching course, making him one of Nagaland’s first certified AIFF goalkeeping coaches.
In an official statement issued on Friday, the CYO lauded Chalieu’s dedication and achievement, describing it as a milestone for football development in the state. The organisation expressed confidence in his ability to mentor young players and contribute meaningfully to the sport’s growth.
“This is a momentous achievement for the state, as it signifies a significant step forward in nurturing specialised coaching talent and ultimately, improving the quality of football in Nagaland,” the statement read.
The CYO also extended its congratulations to the newly appointed executives of the Chumoukedima District Football Association (CDFA), led by president Sedevikho Tsükri. The organisation praised the team’s passion and capability, expressing optimism about their leadership in elevating football standards across the district.
Under the new leadership, the CDFA is expected to focus on grassroots development, local tournaments, referee training and fostering a vibrant footballing culture.
The CYO further wished continued success to Chalieu and the CDFA team, affirming its support for their future endeavours in strengthening the football ecosystem in Nagaland.
