DAKT nominates new team; highlights activities

Delhi Ao Kaketshir Telongjem (DAKT) at its annual general body meeting on April 25, at the Yamuna RWA Office, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, nominated 22 new office bearers for the term 2025–2026.


Yimjungjungshi Sanglir from Molungyimsen Village was renominated as president for a second consecutive term. In his address, he attributed the union’s achievements to the grace and guidance of God.


A word of encouragement was delivered by Dr. Imkongmeren Longchar, general secretary of the Delhi Ao Senso Telongjem (DAST), inspiring the new team as they take on the mantle of leadership.


At the meeting, reports were presented by the various secretaries, highlighting the union’s accomplishments during the previous tenure. Meanwhile, DAKT has set up admission Help Desk, to assist students from Nagaland in securing college admissions and accommodations in Delhi.


DAKT has also extended medical assistance to patients from Nagaland and within Delhi, supported students in distress and carried out charity drives to support those in need.


The union also organised social and cultural events to preserve the cultural identity and unity while annual sports meet was another key initiative by the union to foster unity and community spirit among students.
