Democratic Alliance of Nagaland (DAN) legislature party comprising of 47 MLAs have unanimously reaffirmed to endorse chief minister T.R. Zeliang as DAN legislature party leader. A statement signed by the 47 MLAs said that the resolution was adopted at the meeting of the DAN legislature party after the swearing in ceremony of advisors and parliamentary secretaries on Tuesday.
The 47 MLAs have also unanimously elected Noke Wangnao as the new chairman of the DAN. Noke’s candidature was proposed by Imtilemba Sangtam and seconded by S.I. Jamir and Er. Levi Rengma in the presence of State BJP president and DAN vice chairman, Visasolie Lhoungu, the statement said. The resolution was adopted by the 47 MLAs by raising their hands.
