District AIDS Prevention and Control Committee (DAPCC) 2nd quarterly meeting was held on July 26 at the Conference Hall of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mon under the chairmanship of Additional DC (ADC) Mon, Hiazu Meru.
A press release by DAPCU Mon stated that Hiazu Meru acknowledged the valuable services rendered towards prevention and care of HIV and drug addiction in the district through DAPCU (NSACS).
Stating that HIV and drug addiction has no boundary, Meru called upon every section of the society to understand the reality, take up responsibility and put collective efforts to prevent the same from spreading further.He also urged the citizens to create an enabling environment for People Living with HIV (PLHIV) so that they could access treatment services so as to live a healthy life. District Programme Officer, DAPCU Mon, Longyim Tzudir, presented the facility wise performance of all programme components implementing in Mon district.
