Day two of Tokhü Emong celebration in Wokha

The second day of the Tokhü Emong-cum-Mini Hornbill festival witnessed folk songs and indigenous games competition held at local ground Wokha on November 6.

According to DIPR report, the folk song (Pyimtsu Motsui Khen lona Merangta) competition was officially inaugurated by Advisor for IT, Science and Technology, New & Renewable Energy, Mmhonlumo Kikon as the special guest. 
Addressing during the function Kikon, said that inspite of being a blessed district blessed with many rich resources, Lothas were unable to make use of the God’s blessed abundance because of which there were so many unemployed educated youths in Lotha community. 
Mmhomlumo said that it was time to study the impact which was hampering Lotha society and to move forward. He urged all right thinking individuals and intellectuals to bring about a workable solution which would bring in prosperity and development.
He also pointed out that government would be organizing Amur Falcon conservation week staring from November 8 with the intention to promote tourism industry in the state and urged public to extend co-operation and collaborate with the government. Adding that in order to bring about change “we” all needed to work hard, Mmhonlumo appealed to the gathering to suggest/propose any policy relevant for local needs to government for the welfare of the community.
Earlier in the morning DFO, Wokha Zuthunglo inaugurated the traditional karting (Khoro Zotoro Yungta) competition.
