Discipleship Bible College (DBC), Dimapur, commenced its Annual Sports Week 2025 with a spirited opening ceremony held at the college premises on October 14. Themed “One Body, Many Talents,” the event marked the beginning of a week-long celebration of athleticism, creativity and community spirit.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by Principal of DBC, Dr. Bendangjungshi, who set the tone for the event by emphasizing the importance of unity and talent development. The ceremony featured a cultural dance presentation, a rendition of the national song Vande Mataram, and a series of special performances including songs and choreography, all presented by the students.
A key highlight of the event was the presence of Brigadier Commander of the 6 Sector Assam Rifles, Mayank Singh Jamwal, who graced the occasion as chief guest. In his address, Brigadier Jamwal reflected on the event’s theme, encouraging students to embrace sports as a means of building discipline, teamwork, and holistic growth. He lauded the college’s efforts in integrating physical and creative activities into its academic framework.
