DBC bans single use plastic

Duncan Bosti Council (DBC) has informed all business establishment under its jurisdiction to adhere to the order issued by Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) to stay away from using single use plastic in any manner.

A press release by DBC stated that the decision was taken at its executive council meeting, cautioning that any business establishment found violating the notice would be imposed penalty accordingly. The council also requested all general public of Duncan and entire Dimapur to cooperate with the DMC authority and work together to eradicate the usage of single use plastic which was harmful for the environment.
