Dziilhami Baptist Church (DBC) platinum jubilee celebrations which started on December 17 under the theme “we will serve the lord “came to a fruitful conclusion on December 18 with lighting of candles by Sunday school children choir, singing “go light the world” at Dziilhami Baptist Church.
Pastor DBC, Punusho Naroh in his messages said that in the year 1941, late Rev. Duporii Vasa, late Besiisho Ringa, late Satso Vasa, late Molhiiyi Shijo accepted Jesus Christ and continued to be steadfast in their faith and spread the good news, and on May 20, 1989, the whole populace of Dziilhami village made a declaration to embrace Christianity.
On Sunday morning service, executive secretary, Chakhesang Baptist Church Council, Rev. Dr. Vezopa Tetseo preached the gospel on the topic “God’s faithfulness.” In his message, he said jubilee was a time of retrospection to evaluate one’s life and ministry as individuals and church to plan for future course of action for soul saving ministry.
On Sunday evening, president, Chakhesang Baptist Church Council, Rev. Khriitsoyi Liiriio said the early Christian were persecuted, despised, rejected from family, excommunicated from social life and even driven away from village boundaries. In the midst of such trials, early believers loved and cared for each other which convinced the non-believers that they were worshipping the true and living God. What we are today was only because of the patience and perseverance of the early Christians which we must reflect upon now, said Rev. Luruo.
Executive secretary, SABAK, Pughoboto, Rev. P. Hotokhu Zhimomi and chairman, Chozuba Area Baptist Church Council, Vekusa Lohe greeted the congregation.
