DBCK hosts 12th Freshers’ Day

DIMAPUR: Don Bosco College, Kohima (DBCK) hosted its 12th Freshers’ Day on June 20, welcoming the new batch of students into the DBCK family.
Gracing the occasion as special invitee, Dr. Alice K. Vizo, director of Postal Services for Nagaland, congratulated the freshers on beginning a new chapter in their academic journey.
She urged students to embrace college life with purpose, discipline and hope, reminding them that education was not just about degrees but about building character, resilience and service to society.
She emphasised that success requires persistence and consistency, highlighting the importance of time management, digital responsibility and staying rooted while adapting to a changing world.
On behalf of the staff, Asst. Prof. Dr. Imtinaro Longkumer encouraged students to uphold principles and make the most of opportunities at DBCK.
Representing the freshers, Gensing Humtsoe (BA 1st Semester) expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and shared aspirations of the new batch.
The titles of Mr. Fresher 2026 and Ms. Fresher 2026 were conferred on N Bin Yemjong and Kesho Kent respectively.
