DBCK launches ‘Balladires’ book

“Balladries”, a collection of poetry, was launched at the residence of minister of Higher and Technical Education Temjen Imna Along on March 31.

A press release from Don Bosco College Kohima (DBCK) PB 430 principal, Dr. Fr. P. Suresh, stated that Balladries is a collection of twenty-six poems written by SR Justin, Niki Kath, Keneiounuo, Joyce Lorin, Khrietsi Rhatsu, Grace Kath, Nganyah, students of DBCK pursuing under graduate courses majoring in English.

They are also active members of the NSS club. The collection of poems include themes about life, love and family.

Releasing the book, Temjen Imna said that the poems are a beautiful expression of today’s youth. He encouraged the writers to practice self reliance in order to progress.

Along also said the youth of today should be independent and if they are willing to take the cynicism and criticism of others and work and improve, it will be their greatest achievement.

The event was attended by Pinky Sagolsem, Dr Adenuo, Otoli, Geetchandra, Fr. Innocent and Fr. Dr. P. Suresh.

The book project began in 2018 through a project called compassion channel, initiated by Dr Kiyasetuo Stephen Vizo for the NSS club of DBCK.
