DC & DEO Dimapur informs

DC & District Election Officer (DEO) Dimapur has informed that the election commission of India would be launching a nationwide programme, special drive, to enroll left out electors giving focus on first time electors from July 1-31.
Activities during the special drive would also include removal of names of dead electors/multiple names and underage electors. DC further informed that there would be two special campaign days on July 8 and July 22 in all polling stations where entire final electoral roll 2017 would be made available so that citizens could check their names and left out eligible citizens could apply for inclusion at the polling station itself. The booth level officers should also make door-to door visits in the area within its jurisdiction for collection of form-6 (new inclusion) during the special drive.
Citizens could also apply online through NVSP portal of the election commission of India website:eci.nic.in.
