DIMAPUR: The District Administration, Dimapur, convened an orientation meeting on July 15, to review the ongoing Intensive Registration and Awareness Drive for the MY Bharat (Mera Yuva Bharat) Portal, aimed at ensuring maximum youth enrolment across schools and colleges in the district before the campaign concludes on August 15, 2026.
According to a DIPR report, Deputy Commissioner of Dimapur, Dr. Tinojongshi Chang, addressing the gathering, emphasized that youth are the driving force of development and highlighted the MY Bharat platform as a vital bridge connecting young people with opportunities provided by the Government of India. He urged heads of educational institutions to accord top priority to the registration drive and ensure that eligible students benefit from the programmes available through the portal.
Chang stressed that the success of the campaign depends on the collective efforts of the district administration and educational institutions.
He encouraged schools and colleges to actively motivate students to register and take advantage of opportunities that enhance skills, employability, leadership and overall development.
District Youth Officer K. Manikanta presented a detailed overview of the portal’s objectives, features and benefits.
He explained that the platform enables youth aged 15 to 29 to create digital profiles, access mentorship opportunities, participate in experiential learning programmes, develop leadership and professional skills and engage in volunteer initiatives in areas such as disaster management, community service, health, and social awareness.
The meeting was attended by Extra Assistant Commissioner Imlijungla, the District Employment Officer, the District Education Officer, principals of colleges, heads of educational institutions and other officials.
Educational institutions were advised to establish dedicated registration cells, appoint institutional nodal officers and mobilize campus organisations such as the National Service Scheme (NSS) and National Cadet Corps (NCC) to ensure maximum student enrolment before the deadline.
