
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Dimapur, Anoop Kinchi, has directed the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) to mandatorily display the chart rates of essential commodities in public places.
According to a DIPR report, the DC gave direction to DMC at a joint meeting with regard to taxation and price rise of essential commodities in the conference Hall of DC Dimapur on November 21, 2019.
The meeting, convened by DC, was attended by concern departments including Excise, Forest, DMC and other NGOs including PAC, Business Association of Nagaland, Dimapur Chamber of commerce and others.
Commissioner Police Dimapur Rothihu Tetseo, who also spoke at the meeting, sought the cooperation of one and all and to work together collectively as citizen of Dimapur with a positive attitude.
The NGOs expressed gratitude to the district administration for coming up with the Price Monitoring Committee. They were optimistic that it would be implemented with strong determination and strict order.
