Deputy Commissioner, Kohima, Rajesh Soundararajan has issued a notification in connection with the ensuing by-election to the 10 Northern Angami-1 AC scheduled to be held on 29-07-2017.
According to DIPR report, district level standing committee has been constituted with Deputy Commissioner & DEO/ RO Kohima as the committee chairman and the members include ADC HQ & ARO,Kohima, Sr, SP, Kohima, administrator KMC, SDO (C) sadar, SDO (C) judicial, SDO (C) dev. expenditure monitoring committee nodal officer, model code of conduct nodal officer, president & general secretary of recognised political parties, Kohima district, president & general secretary, Angami public Organization, president & general secretary Northern Angami Public Organization, president & general secretary Angami Student Union, president & general secretary Angami Miapfu Mechu Krotho (AMK) and assistant election officer.
Deputy Commissioner also informed that the committee will meet time to time as and when required for issues relating to free and fair and peaceful conduct of the ensuing by-election.
Deputy Commissioner also informed that the first meeting of the district level standing committee has been convened at Deputy Commissioner’s conference hall Kohima on July 4, 3 p.m and all the concerned members have been requested to attend the meeting positively.
