Deputy commissioner (DC) Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie has informed that the National Database for Arms License portal for uploading details of arms license and issue of Unique Identification Number to all licensees has been extended till March 31, 2023.
According to a DIPR report, DC has informed all arms license holders having registered arms on the license and have not uploaded earlier to produce their license and arms along with required particulars in prescribed format to the office of the DC along with a photocopy of the arms license, one ID proof and one recent passport size photo of the license holder (scanned photos not accepted) by March 20, 2023. He also informed that forms could be collected from the office of the DC Kohima, ADC Chiephobozou, SDO Jakhama & SDO Sechü Zubza, EAC Kezocha & EAC Botsa.
DC however, informed the filled forms along with other documents as mentioned should only be submitted at the office of the DC Kohima.
Further, arms license without UIN would be invalid after March 31, 2023.
