DIMAPUR: The Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima has notified the mandatory checklist of documents required for applicants seeking a Language Proficiency Certificate (LPC) for the 19 local languages/dialects identified by the Government of Nagaland. The notification was issued in pursuance of a Home Department (Home Branch) directive regarding the identification of 19 local languages/dialects spoken in the State.
Applicants are required to submit an application on plain paper along with the following documents: Scheduled Tribe (ST) Certificate, Indigenous Inhabitant Certificate (IIC), Class 10 (HSLC) marksheet, and a recommendation letter from the concerned Tribal Literature Board/Ura Academy. Applicants may also submit any other relevant supporting documents for verification.
The notification further stated that the Language Proficiency Certificate will be officially issued by the ADC, Kohima.
