DC Kohima issues traffic advisory

DIMAPUR, AUG 25 (NPN)

As landslide on National Highway-2 near Tsiesema Basa has completely blocked the highway, the deputy commissioner (DC) Kohima has issued traffic advisory.
In a traffic advisory, DC Kohima B. Henok Buchem notified the road from High Court Junction, Meriema-Nagaland University Campus-Tsiesema Basa, near 5 Sector Assam Rifles/Koinonia Prayer Centre Junction as the alternative route for the LMVs.
Due to narrow passage of the alternative route, DC informed that traffic for heavy vehicles, including Manipur and Dimapur bound vehicles, would be regulated by the traffic police after ascertaining the condition of the road.
DC informed that the order was issued to ensure public safety and the smooth execution of emergency operations and restoration work.
