DC Kohima issues traffic advisory for NH-2

DIMAPUR, SEP 3 (NPN)

Deputy Commissioner Kohima, B. Henok Buchem, has issued a traffic advisory following partial restoration of NH-2 near Phesama. Light motor vehicles are allowed, while heavy vehicles up to six wheelers (20 tons) may ply under regulation.
South-bound trucks for Manipur would be allowed to ply between 8 p.m.–12 midnight, and Dimapur-bound trucks between 12 midnight–4 a.m. Convoys of security forces, LPG carriers, medical emergencies, fire engines and essential services are permitted during the day.
Traffic will be suspended 10 a.m.–2 p.m. daily for restoration, with diversion via Phesama-Kisama/Kigwema through Rhododendron Resort. Movement will be suspended during heavy rainfall.
