DC Longleng inspects landslide site

Deputy Commissioner of Longleng, W. Manpai Phom, visited the landslide-hit area near Yongam village on July 3 to assess the situation following heavy rainfall in the region.
The landslide, which occurred on July 2, completely cut off the road connecting Longleng and Mon districts. The DC, along with officials from concerned departments, reviewed the damage and discussed immediate restoration plans on-site.
The district administration has assured that all efforts are being made to restore road connectivity at the earliest. Meanwhile, residents have been advised to avoid the affected route until further notice.
