DC Mokokchung issues travel advisory

DIMAPUR, JUL 28 (NPN): Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mokokchung, Ajit Kumar Verma, has issued a comprehensive traffic advisory following severe damage to National Highway-2 (NH-2) between Chuchuyimlang and Unger village under Mokokchung district.
The district administration said the new traffic regulations have come into force with immediate effect and would remain in place until further notice to ensure commuter safety and facilitate smooth traffic movement.

Under the new traffic regulations, all vehicles travelling between Mokokchung town and Tuli, in both directions, have been directed to use Mokokchung town–Impur Junction–Longjang–Kelingmen–Tuli route.
Vehicles travelling between Mokokchung town and Chuchuyimlang village have been diverted through the Mokokchung town–Impur Junction–Yisemyong–Mongsenyimti–Chuchuyimlang route.
For commuters travelling from Mokokchung town to Changtongya town, one-way traffic has been routed through Mokokchung town–Impur Junction–Longjang–Kelingmen–Unger–Akhoya–Changtongya town.
Traffic returning from Changtongya town to Mokokchung town has been directed to use the Changtongya town–Unger–Unger Local Ground–Chuchuyimlang/Kelingmen Junction–Mokokchung town route.
The district administration has urged all commuters to strictly adhere to the revised traffic regulations, cooperate with personnel deployed on duty, exercise caution while travelling, and stay updated on further advisories issued by the authorities.
