Taking note of various complaints regarding absence of Head of Offices (HoOs), Head of Institutions (HoIs), officers and staff under Mon district, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mon, Ajit Kumar Verman has directed all concerned to seek prior approval before leaving the station/proceeding on any kind of leave.
According to a DIPR report, DC Mon noted that HoOs and HoIs are reported to be leaving their stations without prior permission/ leave sanctioning from the competent authority, which was not only hampering the smooth functioning of government offices/departments in the district but also causing inconvenience to the public in general while availing various government services.
In this regard, DC Mon said various complaints have also been received about the non-functioning of certain government offices due to the absence of officers and staff. In view of the above and the interest of public service, DC Mon has directed all the officers to seek prior approval before leaving the station/proceeding on any kind of leave, and added that a written intimation in this regard shall be mandatorily submitted in advance, without fail.
DC Mon further cautioned that any case of non-compliance shall be viewed seriously and necessary disciplinary action shall be initiated under the relevant provisions of law.
