DC Mon distributes ex gratia to landslide victims’ families

DIMAPUR: Deputy Commissioner & Chairman, DDMA Mon on Tuesday handed over ex gratia relief to the next of kin of eight deceased persons who lost their lives in the landslide at Thamnan Ward, Mon Town on July 19, 2026.
As per SDRF norms, an amount of Rs. 4,00,000 was given to each bereaved family. The deceased were identified as late Thenkhao Konyak, late Tingyuh Konyak, late Taotun Konyak, late Toithron Konyak, late Kenlong Konyak, late Lunglei L. Konyak, late Pangho Konyak, and late Pomei Konyak. The relief distribution was held in the presence of ADC & CEO, DDMA Mon, along with the presidents of Konyak Union (KU) and Konyak Students’ Union (KSU).
