DC Mon informs on AR firing practice

DC Mon, Wennyei Konyak, has informed that the 42 Assam Rifles will be conducting firing and explosive practice at the Unit Firing Range, Tactical Headquarters Mon, from March 16 to 31, 2026 between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
During this period, loud sounds of firing and explosions may be heard in and around Mon Town and adjoining areas. The public has been advised not to panic as the exercise is part of routine training for the Assam Rifles.
Residents have also been cautioned to avoid movement in the vicinity of the firing range and camp.
