Deputy commissioner Mon, Thavaseelan K has notified that in order to facilitate contact tracing of persons affected with COVID-19 in the near future, the concerned family/organisers should mandatorily maintain a register with records of visitors/guests attending any kinds of gathering such as marriages, funerals, prayer meetings, baby christening functions, etc within Mon district. According to DIPR report, register should contain date wise information with name, address & contact number of the visitors/guests; Prior permission of the district administration should be sought for any such gathering. After the events, the register should be submitted to the DC/ADC/SDO (civil)/EAC office; Prior information for such gathering should be given to the respective ward task forces/village task forces; The respective ward task forces/village task forces must ensure strict enforcement of the order and will be responsible for its monitoring & implementation.
Any person violating the measures will be liable to be proceeded as per provisions of the section 51 to 60 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, besides legal action under section 188 of the IPC and other legal provisions as applicable.
