DC Mon issues travel advisory

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mon, Ajit Kumar Verma, has informed that NH-702 stretch between Mon village junction and Yaling area has been closed for all vehicular movement until further order. DC, therefore, informed that all light motor vehicles plying on NH-702 could take alternate route through Mon village bypass road. However, considering the fragile nature of the alternate route, movement of heavy vehicles (commercial and passenger) have been restricted to use bypass road until further orders. DC informed that incessant rainfall has caused landslides, mudslides, and rock falls resulting in roadblocks and damage to roads and properties.
