DC Niuland conducts field inspection

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Niuland Sara S. Jamir, along with the District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) members, conducted a field inspection to Aghunaqa circle on March 24.
The purpose of the visit was to inspect the actual implementation of departmental works in the field, engage with local stakeholders at the grassroots level, and as an initiative to bring the government offices to the doorstep of the people living in Aghunaqa area.
The team visited PM Shri Government High School (GHS) Pihekhu and Government High School Aghunaqa and held interaction with the students, teachers/staff and village authorities.
Addressing the gathering at PM Shri GHS Pihekhu, the Deputy Commissioner urged the teachers to remain dedicated and sincere in their duties and to strive for improved academic outcomes.
The team also visited Jal Jeevan Mission Scheme at Nizheto village, Solid Waste Management Unit at Aghunaqa HQ, and inspected works undertaken by RD department at Pihekhu village. The DPDB members also held a meeting with the civil societies and NGOs at Hukhai Village (Aghunaqa).
As part of the visit, a free medical screening camp was organized at the Health and Wellness Centre, Hukhai Village, under the initiative of DPDB Niuland, where 48 individuals availed the services.
Throughout the visit, DPDB members held meaningful interactions with village leaders regarding various departmental schemes and projects being implemented in their respective areas.
