Deputy Commissioner (DC) Niuland, Sara S. Jamir inaugurated a waiting shed constructed and donated by 155 battalion Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) under Civic Action Programme (CAP) 2023-24 at Kuhoboto Town, Wednesday.
Speaking at the inaugural programme, Jamir said CRPF was not only doing a commendable job in maintaining law and order in border areas but also conducting welfare/developmental activities for the people.
She further encouraged the CRPF to continue such noble initiatives so as to improve the military-public relations, maintain peaceful environment and bring further development.
In a short speech, 155 Bn CRPF commandant, Avinash Sharan informed that such social welfare activities were conducted every year by CRPF in their area of deployment.
As part of the programme, CRPF also distributed solar street lights to Khughovi Village and S. Hotovi Village.
The GBs and village councils also thanked 155 Bn CRPF for the developmental work in area.
The programme was also attended by DCP Niuland Kilangyanger Walling, second-in-command CRPF TK Lal, ADC Niuland S. Athsangla, SDO(C) Kuhuboto Vitoka, Neutral force Sector Commanders of both “A” and “B” Sector, CRPF officers, GBs of nearby villages, villagers and students.
