DC Peren asks govt. servants to prepare for general election

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Peren and vice chairman, Peren District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) Peren, Smita Sarangi has asked all government servants to prepare for the ensuing general election to Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA), 2018.
According to DIPR report, chairing Peren DPDB meeting on Saturday, Sarangi said the upcoming 2018 general election would be declared anytime and added that there should not be “slackness or excuses of any sort”.
“Any assignment given has to be carried out in one way or the other”, said Sarangi. She particularly advised the Sector Magistrate to visit the area and take stock of the situations.
The DC also requested the power, the PWD and the school education departments to give status report every Thursday, to access the situation for the election in advance.
She informed the board about the webcasting of polling process for about forty polling stations in the district.
In this regard, Sarangi requested the concerned officers to ensure that work was done as per the assignment.
The DC also told the head of offices that public should not be harassed due to “our unavailability” in the station.
She further informed that follow up meeting relating to general election to Nagaland Legislative Assembly, 2018 would be convened anytime therefore officer’s presence in the station was mandatory.
Later, work distribution for the ensuing Republic Day 2018 Celebration on January 26 was made during Peren District Planning and Development Board 
meeting.
