Deputy Commissioner (DC) Phek, Orenthung Lotha, has directed all concern to immediately cease/remove any new structures along the stretch of Pfutsero-Phek and Chakhabama-Zunheboto two-lane road. In a press release, DC Phek noted that several new structures have come up along the two-lane road under SARDP-NE after the final verification of damage compensation in July, 2018. The DC informed that prior notice was issued to the village councils for the cross verification of the damage compensation assessment.In this regard, the DC has informed all concerned that new structures that have come up or under construction along the mentioned stretch post July 2018 would not be taken up for compensation. Further, all have been directed to immediately cease/remove any such works.
