DC Tseminyu inform son jhum burning

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Tseminyu, Japheth Woch, has informed that the Tseminyu Union has fixed a date for traditional practices of jhum burning on March 13 at 11:00 am onwards at Tsensun Area Tseminyu jurisdictions.
A DIPR report stated that in this connection, all the villages and towns in and around have been informed to remain vigilant and take precautionary measures to prevent the spread of forest fire in their area and to mobilize volunteers to control fire in case of emergency.
The Union has instructed to ensure that the Jhum is burnt in controlled manner with proper monitoring and take precautionary measures to avoid spreading of forest fire to the neighbouring areas.
