Deputy commissioner (DC) Tuensang Alem Jungshi, on his good will mission, visited Shamator headquarters and had a meeting with the leaders of YTC officials, YAA, YWO, YGOA, Public Forum Shamator, GBs and DBs January 13.
During his visit, DC Tuensang urged the leaders to control overall present situation and let peace prevail in the district. According to a DIPR report, DC said peace was necessary in the district so everyone could live harmoniously. DC Tuensang said that fighting among brothers would lead to “another backwardness.”
He appealed to the people to stop violence and forgive one another in true Christian spirit and move forward peacefully for the betterment of future.
He expressed gratitude to all the leaders who have been tirelessly working for the cause of peace and harmony. DC was accompanied by DIG Range, Commandant 3rd NAP Tuensang, DPRO Tuensang, Additional SP Reserve Tuensang and host of Government officials Tuensang. Invocation was pronounced by Rev. Thsankiu and benediction by Pastor STBC, Thsankiu.
