Office of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Wokha, in a notification, has informed that as per the resolution of the Wokha district road safety committee meeting held on March 23, 2018, changes have been made in respect of parking of vehicles in and around Wokha town.
According to DIPR report, following roads/locations have been designated as “No Parking Zone” with immediate effect: the road from Y junction (Assam Rifles) to main Bazaar, the road towards DC Office main gate.
It has been notified that only two vehicles shall be allowed to park at a time in front of the entire taxi/bus counter and the remaining vehicles shall be allowed for parking from old Aircel office towards Assam Rifles gate. It has been notified that all vehicles including commercial vehicles and Auto-Rickshaws parking in “No Parking Zone” and violating traffic rules shall be strictly dealt with as per the provision of the Motor Vehicles Act.
