DC Wokha on verification of arms & ammo

In view of the upcoming General Election to the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly and to ensure a peaceful atmosphere in the district, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Wokha has informed that physical verification of all firearms and ammunition would be carried out on December 31, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at concerned police stations.
According to DIPR report, the DC has directed all the arms license holders under the Wokha district to visit their respective police station along with the arms/ammunition and license booklet for physical verification.
Further, DC has directed the officer-in-charge of the concerned police station to furnish a daily report in excel format with the following details – name of the license holder, license number, UIN number, type of arms and number, license last renewed date, and number of ammunition available.
