DCC, Dimapur held pre-Christmas celebration program at Congress Bhavan, Dimapur on December 8, with DCC Dimapur vice president, Chuba Aier as speaker.
A press release from DCC Dimapur, general secretary Tekhepfulhi Mero stated that Chuba Aier spoke on the true spirit of Christmas which, he said, is to celebrate the birth of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, rather than meaningless enjoyment with feasting and good clothes. Aier urged the gathering to inculcate a God-fearing attitude in all party activities so that doors to the promised blessings may be opened. NPCC vice president Jonathan Ao also exhorted all Congress men and women to continue their selfless efforts and contributions to the party and its activities. The celebration was chaired by Kutoho Chishi, media cell secretary, DCC, Dimapur, while Savi, VP, DMCC, invoked God’s blessings. Akashe Yeptho, VP, DYC, read from the Bible, Kikhevi, vice president, DCC, proposed the vote of thanks and Khekiho Yeptho, working president, ACCC, 5-Ghaspani II said the benediction. The program also saw special performances by NK Naga and Ajit while the Christmas cake was cut by DCC Dimapur president, A. Bendangyanger Jamir.
