DCCI flays Aug 26 firing incident

Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) has condemned the firing incident in which one employee of TS Goods Carrier at Kalibari Road near Dimapur Municipal Council office here sustained injuries on August 26 evening.
In a press release, DCCI working president V Shikuto Sema urged the law enforcing agencies to conduct a thorough investigation into matter and book the culprits and award befitting punishment so as to act as a deterrent for future incidents.
The trade body said the incident took place around 7 pm when three unidentified motorcycle-borne miscreants resorted to blank firing at the employees, who were inside the office, injuring one in the neck. It added that the miscreants reportedly fired five rounds.
DCCI felt that if this trend continued unabated, it would be difficult for the transporters to bring in their goods to Nagaland.
