Dimapur District Autorickshaw Drivers’ Union (DDADU) held a general meeting on April 14.
In a press release, DDADU president, I. Vitoshe Sema said that the drivers had agreed for the union’s welfare fund to be collected at their respective parkings. Checks will be put on drivers without proper permits and also action will be initiated against drivers found driving under the influence of intoxicants.
Unregistered autorickshaws will be forwarded to law enforcing agencies and union uniforms and identity cards will be thoroughly checked. The meeting also resolved to maintain an attendance register for office bearers.
