DIMAPUR, MAY 12 (NPN): The Dimapur District Cricket Association (DDCA) organised a Certificate Distribution cum Dinner Programme to celebrate the achievements of its district teams in the 2026 season.
The U16 boys team was felicitated for finishing runners-up in the U16 Multi-Day Inter District Tournament, while the U19 team was honoured for clinching their fifth championship title in the 6th Late G. Rio Men’s U19 Inter District Tournament. The senior men’s team also received recognition for securing runners-up in the Senior Men’s Inter District Tournament 2026.
Players were felicitated in the presence of their family members, with DDCA officials commending their dedication and discipline both on the field and in academics.
DDCA general secretary C.K. Mech expressed gratitude to the players for their commitment and consistent performances. Vice president ex-major Vikuto Assumi emphasised the importance of fundamentals, sacrifice and passion for the game.
Dimapur District Cricket Association president Choba Lotha, along with other officials, congratulated the players and reaffirmed the association’s commitment to nurturing and uplifting local cricket talent under the aegis of the Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA).
