DIMAPUR, SEP (NPN): Matchday 10 of the Dimapur District Football League (DDFL)-cum-Late Hejeto Ayemi Trophy at DDSC Stadium witnessed two tightly contested league fixtures, with Indisen FC edging past Akito FC 2-1 in match 19, while Kachari Sports Club secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Zeliangrong Village Youth Club (B) in match 20 on Friday. Both matches showcased competitive football, dramatic set-piece battles, and standout individual performances.
According to SportsMatrix.in, in match 19, Indisen FC came from behind to defeat Akito FC 2-1 in a thrilling encounter. Akito FC struck first through Noklensunep, but Indisen FC responded quickly with Poulin’s equaliser.
The decisive moment came in the second half when Theishingkhul Mungleng netted the winner at the 33rd minute.
Akito FC captain Toka Achumi missed a crucial penalty late in the game, denying his side a chance to level. Possession was evenly split (50%-50%), but Akito FC registered more shots (15 vs 11).
The player of the match was awarded to Wapang LKR (Indisen FC).
