DDGBA reminds on release of SSA construction fund

Dimapur District GB Association (DDGBA) has reiterated its appeal to the director of school education mission authority (SSA) to release fund for construction of GMS/GPS as per the terms and conditions laid down with respective SMC.
In a press release, DDGBA president Shikuto Zalipu, vice president Thepporio and I&P secretary Akhu Gangmei stated that department of school education mission authority – SSA Nagaland had issued the work order for construction of GMS/GPS with complete infrastructures in October 2012 with a terms in the work order all the spillover work shall be completed by November 2012 and all the fresh work shall be completed by March, 2013, and released 25 % from the unit cost.
However, the association said due to non-release of further fund, construction was stagnant and could not be accomplished as per the terms (i.e. by March, 2013).
After the lapse of 10 months (Aug 2013) from the 1st instalment, DDGBA stated that the department releases second instalment some 15 % to 20 % from the unit cost.
And for the construction of common/girls toilets, drinking water, the association said the fund was released from the third and fourth instalments.
But for GPS, the signatories stated that some school did not get any more instalments after the first. “Thus, the total Fund released till date, sum around upto 60 % only,” they said.
DDGBA maintained SMC of respective schools cannot progress its management due to the shortage of fund infrastructures lay incomplete, which was supposed to be completed by March, 2013 as per the order. 
Further, DDGBA said “yeomen services” rendered by some SMC and community of the village/colony by taking loans to complete the work to keep up with speculated time bound has been placed in dilemma.
Therefore, DDGBA has appealed to the school education authority – SSA Nagaland to release the remaining balance amount to the educational institute of the Dimapur district in particular and the state in general as early as possible for smooth functioning of the schools.
