DDGBA suspends membership of accused GB

DIMAPUR, JUN 10 (NPN): Dimapur District GBs Association (DDGBA) has suspended the membership of Residency Colony GB Akangkokba Ao (68), who was recently arrested as the third accused in the alleged sexual assault of a 14-year-old girl. DDGBA president Hokuto Zhimomi and secretary Neiba Kesiezie strongly condemned the alleged sexual assault and mental torture of the minor and urged the Special Investigation Team to conduct an impartial inquiry and ensure that all accused were prosecuted under the provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
The association said Akangkokba Ao’s membership had been suspended with immediate effect. It also informed that a general body meeting has been convened on June 12, 2026 to deliberate on further course of action against the accused GB.
