DDLSA and DTP conduct Mobile Lok Adalat/MVCP in Dimapur

Dimapur District Legal Services Authority (DDLSA), in collaboration with Dimapur Traffic Police (DTP), conducted a mobile Lok Adalat/Motor Vehicle Check Post (MVCP) at Dimapur on March 31. 
A press release from Nagaland State Legal Services Authority (NSLSA), Kohima, stated that the Lok Adalat/MVCP was conducted at three strategic points in Dimapur city- DC Court, Golaghat Road and Chumukedima Junction. Ajongba Imchen, chief judicial magistrate and secretary DDLSA, retainer lawyer, panel lawyers and officers of Dimapur Traffic Police manned the three locations to identify defaulters and impose fines under the Motor Vehicle Act- 2017. They also spread legal awareness among the citizens of Dimapur through distribution of pamphlets and legal counseling. 
Around 1500 beneficiaries through legal awareness and defaulters under the Motor Vehicle Act, 2017 were recorded during the Mobile Lok Adalat.
