DDMA Kiphire conducts landslide spots verification

DIMAPUR: Following a report that a house in Medical Ward, Kiphire was on the verge of collapse, a spot verification was conducted by District Project Associate (DPA), District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Kiphire, Berela T, on September 7, 2026.
The affected family has since been relocated to a safer location as a precautionary measure, a DIPR report stated.
Officials noted that the house poses a significant hazard to nearby residences and recommended that the structure be dismantled at the earliest to prevent any untoward incident and further risk to surrounding properties.
