The Dimapur District Taekwondo Association (DDTA) participated in the recently concluded 35th Nagaland State Taekwondo Championship cum Under-14 ‘Catch Them Young Tournament 2025’ hosted by Longleng District Taekwondo Association at Longleng.
A press release by DDTA general secretary Tridibesh M Chowdhury stated that a total of 40 players took part in the tournament under senior, junior, cadet and sub-junior in both male and female category.
Dimapur District Taekwondo Association bagged 10 gold, 12 silver and 6 bronze medals- a total 28 Medals. The Team was led by Heoshe Yeptho,(working president, DDTA) with 2 team managers: Nishi Roy (VP, DDTA), Sanjay Chetri (org. secy, DDTA) and 2 team coaches- Subham Sharma and Navjyotee Das, along with 6 national and state referees, namely:
- Limatula Jamir (National Referee)
- Amarjit Singh (National Referee)
- Deepak Kr. Prasad (National Referee)
- Anirudra Pandey (National Referee)
- Bodrulsah Barbhuiya (State Referee)
- lmtisangla Jamir (State Referee)
The Dimapur team has also lifted the 1st runners-up Championship Trophy.
The DDTA conveyed it regards to Nagaland Taekwondo Association in collaboration with Department of Youth Resources and Sports , govt. of Nagaland and hosted by Longleng District Taekwondo Association for successfully hosting the Championship.
DDTA further expressed gratitude to Dr.Tinojongshi Chang (NCS),deputy comissioner, Dimapur and chairman DDSC and DDSC officials for timely release of fund for participation in the championship.
DDTA also thanked Kevithuto Sophie, comissioner of police,Dimapur for providing transportation to the Dimapur team, the parents of our players for their financial support and the President, DDTA, Howoto Jakhalu for the support and encouragement throughout.
