The Dimapur District Taekwondo Association (DDTA) organized the 24th Dimapur District Kyurogi & 1st Poomsae Taekwondo Championship at MDSC Stadium, near DC Court Junction, Dimapur. The event, held from June 5 to 7, witnessed the participation of over 230 athletes from various clubs, schools, and academies.
SSTA emerged as the team champion, while Dreamworks Taekwondo Academy secured the runners-up position in the tournament. A total of 65 players were selected to represent Dimapur District at the upcoming 35th Nagaland State Taekwondo Championship, scheduled to take place in Longleng from July 29 to 31, 2025.
The DDTA extended its gratitude to all participating institutions and acknowledged the support of president of DDTA, Howoto Jakhalu, for his financial and physical contributions. Appreciation was also directed towards the District Sports Office (DSO) for facilitating the venue and the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and medical team for their assistance.
