Congress candidate for the 28 Koridang Assembly Constituency by-election, T. Chalokumba Ao, made his formal declaration at Alichen Town and Longkhum villages on Monday.
He was accompanied by a host of Congress leaders including S. Supongmeren Jamir, Lok Sabha MP, Saptagiri Sankar Ulaka, MP Lok Sabha (Odisha), K. Meghachandra Singh, Leader of CLP Manipur, Jaydev Jena, former MLA Odisha, besides representatives and officials from NPCC and DCC Mokokchung.
Addressing the gatherings, Chalokumba appealed to the electorate for their support, stating that if given the mandate, he would be the voice of the people and represent the constituency sincerely in the Nagaland Legislative Assembly.
Several Congress leaders also spoke at the programme, including MPs Saptagiri Sankar Ulaka and S. Supongmeren Jamir, CLP Leader K. Meghachandra Singh, as well as representatives from NPCC and DCC Mokokchung, who extended their support to Chalokumba’s candidature.
