DIMAPUR: Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) Nagaland project implementing agency Assocham training centre conducted “learning kit distribution day-cum-interaction” at DDU-GKY training centre, Assocham Duncan, Dimapur on April 4.
In a press release, DDU-GKY informed that during the programme, project director, DRDA Dimapur, Kethosituo Sekhose in his speech as guest speaker said the scope for promotion and growth was much higher in private sector than government sector.
While adding that promotion in private sector was based on level of performance and it’s a rapid growth, he said in government sectors, promotion was after vacancy or retirement.
He therefore, reminded the trainees to strive not only for government jobs but private sectors.
Kethosituo viewed that job satisfaction was much higher in private sector and that no matter how small a job, with diligence and hard work, everyone could climb the ladder of success.
Meanwhile, centre manager, Watila Ben highlighted the activities in the training centre and how it was aimed at reducing unemployment in the state through skilling and placements.
Altogether, 123 rural youth received welcome kits which consisted of a tablet, a cap, uniforms and learning materials.
The special guest was accompanied by ADPM, NSRLM Dimapur M. Yimok Phom and Agnes FI NSRLM Dimapur.
It may be mentioned that Assocham is a project implementing agency of DDU- GKY sponsored by the ministry of Rural Development (MoRD) and state government implemented through Nagaland State Rural Livelihoods Mission (NSRLM).
DDU- GKY informed that Assocham provided training to rural youth in general duty assistant, front office executive and home delivery boy/girl.
